I have always been passionate about working with children, but my love for working in the field of special education came after I had the opportunity to work as a summer camp counselor as a teenager. I noticed that I was pulled to the children experiencing more challenging needs, and I was eager to learn how to help them reach their goals. I learned so much through those experiences and I even ended up teaching at the same school where the summer camp was held when I graduated college, so for me it was full circle. I majored in Special Education from Towson State University.
I am now so grateful to be a part of Triton’s team because they are absolutely parent and student focused and I have always found that when the entire village for the child is on the same page the progress is monumental. I love being the parent representative and partnering with parents to empower them and give them the tools they need to support their children and help them flourish.
I have a passion for helping people grow, and nothing is more gratifying to me than seeing the transformation students and families make because of intervention. My background has involved teaching literacy and comprehension, as well as language acquisition and social skills for special needs students.
I have a Bachelor’s of Psychology and have worked in education for five years. I am thrilled to be using both my education and experience to now serve families in academic, social-emotional, and behavioral focuses.
